Multidisciplinary Treatment
When Dr. Allen Chan first opened his clinic in Rancho Penasquitos in 1989, he was already using diverse treatment methods for the care of his patients. He would use chiropractic adjustments, physiotherapy, soft tissue therapy, rehabilitative exercise and diagnostic imaging. Co-management with other traditional healthcare providers outside of the clinic was not uncommon.
In 1995 Dr. Chan further diversified his clinic by inviting the first acupuncturist to join our clinic. We soon changed our name to Jasmine Health Center. It was a new concept in that we were bringing two alternative forms of healthcare together under one roof. By doing so, we could not only provide convenience and options for our patients, but we could develop new methods to manage and cure old problems that were never achievable before.
Such progress is our continued goal at Chan Chiropractic. As a second-generation chiropractor with a bachelor’s degree in Integrative Biology, Dr. Casey Chan uses the best of the new and old and scientific research in the treatment of neuromusculoskeletal conditions. Similarly, with his studies in bioengineering and practice of advanced theories and techniques in Chinese Medicine, Acupuncturist John Chen brings an updated view and experience in Chinese Medicine. Together, Dr. Allen Chan, Dr. Casey Chan, and Acupuncturist John Chen form an excellent team of collaboration for the effective management and treatment of both common and more challenging cases.
We continue to seek to work with new partners. We strive to continue improving patient care and learn more about the human body.
