History
Dr. Allen Chan opened his first clinic in 1988 in Rancho Penasquitos after a long search up and down the coast of California for his new home and new practice. At that time, Rancho Penasquitos was quite a bit smaller but with the same close-knit community and family-feel that it has today.
Dr. Chan built and designed his new office next to Scarcella's Pizza (now Sushiya Restaurant) with a contractor friend, painting, wiring, and furnishing the office themselves. Dr. Chan began his practice one day by simply introducing himself to the neighborhood, walking door-to-door and surveying the needs of the community. On that day he met a few new friends and patients, some of which he still treats today.
After several successful years of practice helping many patients, Dr. Chan wanted to open an office that was able to provide more for the community. He wanted a multi-disciplinary establishment. This dream was realized in 1993 with a more spacious office located next to the newly opened Jasmine Seafood Restaurant in Kearny Mesa. Dr. Chan's new clinic included chiropractic, acupuncture and massage therapy. With this second office in central San Diego, Dr. Chan was also able to serve a greater area of San Diego.
In 2004, Dr. Casey Chan joined her father to develop a father-daughter team. Dr. Casey Chan contributed the newest concepts and practices in chiropractic and physical medicine, while the elder shared his expertise gained from his many years of experience. Together, they made the perfect team in caring for their patients.
While community service has always been a part of Dr. Allen Chan and Dr. Casey Chan's life, giving back to the community has played a larger role in recent years. Both doctors gain satisfaction knowing that they can use their skills and talents to better serve the community.
The future of Chan Chiropractic is being written daily, ranging from our recent changes to our website to the expanded services and products available at our offices. We are happy to grow and develop with the community in our quest to care for others.
